Our church has supported the Al Amana Centre in Oman for many years because there are profound, even dangerous, misunderstandings between Muslims and Christians that need to be corrected in order for peace and reconciliation to occur. As a part of the Reformed Church in America’s global mission, Aaro Rytkonen and the staff at the Al Amana Centre facilitate dialog between Muslims and Christians in general and people studying to become Christian and Muslim faith leaders in particular. The Centre and its staff promote mutual understanding and learning more about each other in order for relationships between the two faiths to be healed and to create more peaceful societies.
